Oral-B App Could Help Change Oral Care Behaviour
13 September 2012Aside from making regular appointments with private dentists in Manchester, you can now make good use of technological developments to help you improve your oral hygiene and the Oral-B app could be just the tool you’ve been looking for.
The app can be used alongside a Bluetooth-connected toothbrush to help track your brushing techniques. Apparently, through use of the SmartSeries brush and app, 83 per cent of brushing sessions are now more than the recommended two minutes long, with 60 per cent using the tongue-cleaning, flossing and rinsing app reminders to improve oral care routines.
Now, users can set up a personalised Dental Care Journey that is tailored to help them achieve their dental hygiene goals, including fresh breath, whiter teeth, plaque fighter, ortho care and gum health. Statistics can be shared with both the dentist and the hygienist to help track progress and identify areas for improvement.
As well as using a good toothbrush, it’s important that you invest in the right kind of toothpaste if you’re to help prevent cavities and other dental problems. Always check that your paste has fluoride in it, a natural mineral found in drinking water and many foods that has been proven to be beneficial for dental health because it strengthens the tooth enamel.
This means that it reduces the amount of acid produced by bacteria on the teeth and makes you that much more resistant to tooth decay. If you’re unsure of which products to invest in, chat to your qualified dentist today to find out which they think is best.
